Susan Schandel serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of International Speedway Corporation (NASDAQ:ISCA), America's largest provider of motorsports entertainment. ISC hosts more than 100 motorsports events annually at 12 facilities stretching from New York to Miami to California.
As CFO, she is responsible for leading the financial direction of the Company which now boasts a NASDAQ market value over $2.5 billion. In addition, Schandel, serves as Senior Vice President of Administration supervising employees in the company's Finance, Accounting, Investor Relations, Human Resources and Information Systems departments.
Schandel has played an integral part in the company's growth. Under her financial direction ISC has grown from a regional company with three tracks and $60 million in revenues to a national company with 12 tracks and over $740 million in revenues.
Schandel was instrumental in securing the first major motorsports public / private partnership to support development of a facility in Kansas City, Kansas. Opened in 2001, the $240 million, state-of-the-art Kansas Speedway has been highly acclaimed by industry experts. No public / private partnership deal in motorsports has matched its magnitude since.
She joined ISC in 1992 as Corporate Controller. In 1996, Schandel was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Three years later, Schandel was promoted to Vice President and in 2004, was promoted to Senior Vice President. Schandel received a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State University in 1985. |
