Steve Hildebrand joined Thrifty Rent-A-Car System, Inc. in 1987 as Vice President and Treasurer during which time Thrifty completed its initial public offering. Following the acquisition of Thrifty by Chrysler in 1989, he became Chief Financial Officer, Vice President and Treasurer of Thrifty and Pentastar Transportation Group. During Chrysler's ownership, Hildebrand was instrumental in several major events including the acquisition of Snappy Car Rental and Dollar Rent A Car Systems, Inc. and the subsequent merger of General Rent A Car operations into Dollar's operations and the subsequent sale of Snappy. Following the Initial Public Offering of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group in December 1997, Hildebrand was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In October 2003, Hildebrand was named Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of DTG. Prior to his career with Thrifty, Hildebrand was a finance executive with a Tulsa-based energy company and worked in public accounting. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University. |
