Robert Larkin founded Senior Living Residences, LLC with his business partner, Peter Mullin, in 1990. They developed one of Massachusettsí first assisted living residences and now own and manage independent and assisted living communities throughout the state. Over the past 16 years, Senior Living Residences has brought numerous assisted living communities online to maximum operational and financial success. Mr. Larkin is a founding member of the Massachusetts Assisted Living Facilities Association (Mass-ALFA) and has been a prime mover in numerous regulatory and legislative actions affecting the local assisted living industry. He is the immediate past Chair of the Mass ALFA Board of Directors and has served in other leadership roles within the organization, including chair of the Public Policy and Government Relations Committee. Mr. Larkin is a leading authority on mixed-income independent and assisted living, with specific expertise in tax-credit projects, tax-exempt bond financing, and Medicaid funding for assisted living. He oversees regulatory compliance, service performance, quality initiatives, sales and operations of SLRís owned and managed assisted living communities. Mr. Larkin is an attorney, and prior to entering the assisted living industry, he worked in real estate syndication. He also served in state government as director of the Massachusetts Securities Division, as Massachusetts Deputy Secretary of State, and as an elected representative in the Massachusetts legislature for two terms. Mr. Larkin received his BA from Boston College and law degree from Suffolk University. |
