Rafael Pastor is the CEO of TEC, a global corporate membership organization owned by Thomson Corporation and Knowledge Universe. Mr. Pastor has also served as CEO and President of Hoyts Cinemas Corporation; President of USA Networks International; Executive Vice President, International, of News Corporation and then Fox International; and President of CBS/Fox Video International. Mr. Pastor has been a key participant in a broad range of transactions, including the sale of CBS Records to Sony; the sale by CBS of cable-channel interests to Cablevision; the restructurings of CBS/Fox Video; the establishment of Fox Latin America Channel, USA Network Latin America, Sci-Fi Channel Europe, and USA Network Brazil; and the sale of USA Networks International to Seagram's Universal Studios. Mr. Pastor received a BA from Columbia University and a JD from the New York University School of Law. He is a Board member and Vice President of the International League for Human Rights, a member of the Board and the Executive Committee of the Jerusalem Foundation, Inc., a Board member of the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, and an Associate of the International Council of Television Arts and Sciences. |
