Ms. Miller is a graduate of St. Stephen's School, Rome, Italy (1966); Carleton College (magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa)(1970) and the University of Colorado School of Law (1975) . Her practice focuses on the representation of creditors and debtors, in bankruptcy and reorganization and related litigation. Ms. Miller represents creditors ,including secured, unsecured, landlords, creditors' committees, trustees, and both business and consumer debtors. She has been involved in health care and nursing home restructurings and insolvencies; complex real estate reorganizations, quiet title, mechanic's lien and judicial foreclosure actions; agricultural workouts and receiverships; ancillary and transborder bankruptcies. In addition to her insolvency and reorganization practice, she devotes a significant amount of time to commercial and real estate litigation in state and federal courts. She has also prosecuted and defended fraudulent and preferential transfers and discharge litigation for individuals and commercial institutions. Ms. Miller has testified as an expert witness regarding commercial leases in bankruptcy and real estate issues .She has published several articles on bankruptcy law and lectures on the subject. |
