PegWilliams serves as Senior Vice President, Research and Development responsible for the company's software and hardware engineering efforts for the current Cray X1E, XT3 and XD1 Supercomputers, as well as Cray's future research and development projects known as Cascade and Rainier. Dr. Williams, who has more than 20 years of experience in the HPC industry, joined Cray in May 2005 from IBM, where she was the Vice President of Database Technology. Prior to that, she managed IBM's HPC Software and AIX Development. Her extensive HPC experience also includes leading the user support team at the Maui High Performance Computing Center (MHPCC). Dr. Williams holds a B.S. in math and physics from Ursinus College, a masters in math and a Ph.D. in applied math from Lehigh University. |
