George has more than 25 years of high tech experience and has served in a variety of operations, engineering and management positions. Prior to joining Marathon, he consulted for and served as vice president of manufacturing for 3Com after its acquisition of Synernetics, Inc., the industry leader in Ethernet switching products. He also helped found the Alliant Computer Systems Corporation, a developer of parallel processing supercomputers. At Alliant, he held several senior management roles including vice president of manufacturing and worldwide customer service. He has also held several senior operations and management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation. George holds a BS in chemical engineering from Tufts University and an MBA in operations research from Boston University. |
