In 1966, Mr. Kanngiesser began his career with System Parking. In 1997, Mr. Kanngiesser purchased controlling interest in the System Parking Kentucky Corporation and is currently responsible for all corporate functions of our day to day operations in the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to System Parking being sold to AMPCO, Mr. Kanngiesser held the positions of Division Manager and Regional Manager, Vice President of Operations as well as President. As President, his responsibilities included the management of parking operations in more than 600 locations throughout the southern, midwestern and pacific regions of the country. Mr. Kanngiesser was elected to the position of President of the National Parking Association in October of 1997 and was promoted to Chairman of the Board of Directors in October 1999. He has served on the Board of Directors for the last twelve years. He has served as a member of the Executive Committee for the past eight years and was named treasurer for four years. In 1992, Mr. Kanngiesser received the National Parking Industry's (NPA) distinguished service award and the Chairman's outstanding service award in 1994. Mr. Kanngiesser received a BA in Business Administration in 1966 from the University of Louisville and served a tour of duty during the Vietnam War. |
