Dr. Adam Long is a highly regarded thought leader in the industry and brings years of statistical and research experience to the Gordian team. He has published numerous articles in journals and national publications, and is a frequent presenter at industry conferences. His most recent articles have appeared in Disease Management, the American Journal of Health Promotion, and the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, as well as other empirical, peer-reviewed research in the field of psychology. As Vice President of Research and Informatics at Gordian, Dr. Long conducts Retrospective Claims Analyses (RCAs) and ROI analyses. He assists in development of new measurement and analytical techniques, including procedures for assessing work productivity and corporate culture. Additionally, Dr. Long performs customized empirical research for clients, and advises and assists the Customer Care and Sales teams with management reporting. Dr. Long was most recently Research Consultant to Health Research Insights and Research Associate at Vanderbilt University and Owen Graduate School of Management. Dr. Long received his Ph.D. in social psychology from Vanderbilt University, and his dissertation was named the American Psychological Association's "Best Dissertation on a Topic Relevant to Community Psychology." Dr. Long is a guest lecturer at Vanderbilt and has spoken at various conferences, including the Disease Management Leadership Forum and the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists. |
