The group's principal activity is to offer managed care and traditional indemnity products. The group operates in two business segments: commercial managed care and other insurance products and services. Commercial managed care segment includes group ppo, hmo, and epo products. Other insurance products and services segment consists of our indemnity and individual products. The group's indemnity products include traditional indemnity products and government contracts with cms to act as a fiscal intermediary. Individual products include medicare supplemental, state sponsored plans, government mandated individual plans and individual hospital-only. The group operates in 28 counties, including ten counties in the New York city metropolitan area and 16 counties in New Jersey.
