The group's principal activity is to sell and deliver natural gas and provide energy-related products and services. The group operates under three segments: regulated utility, retail energy-Marketing, heating, ventilating and air conditioning. Regulated utility provides regulated gas distribution services, including the purchase and delivery of natural gas, meter reading, bill preparation and responding to customer inquiries. The energy marketing segment distributes natural gas directly to customers. Heating, ventilating and air conditioning segment designs, renovates and services mechanical heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems for commercial and residential customers. The group provides the services to customers primarily in the metropolitan Washington, d.c., Maryland and Virginia area.
