The group's principal activity is to manufacture paper, converting materials and wood products. The group operates through six segments: magazine paper: produces magazines, newspaper supplements, printed advertising material and sales catalogues; news print: manufactures for publishers, printers, telephone directories and mail order catalogues; fine paper: supplies paper to paper merchants, office supplies wholesalers, printers and converters; specialty paper; comprises of face and release papers for self-adhesive labels, white and brown sack and kraft papers and white and tinted envelope papers; converting segment: manufactures self-adhesive labelstock, siliconized papers and industrial wrappings and the wood products segment produces sawn timber and plywood for the building and transport vehicle industries. The group has production plants in 16 countries. In Apr 2003, the group acquired as fss plywood.
