Ms. Martes is an associate in the Bankruptcy and Finance Department of Brown Rudnick's New York office, where she represents clients in connection with various structured finance transactions. She has advised issuers and underwriters in a diverse array of asset-backed securitization deals involving various types of collateral, including student loans, mortgages, auto loans and credit card receivables. She has also represented issuers, guaranty providers and credit enhancers in securitizations of life insurance policies and consumer and commercial assets.
In addition, Ms. Martes has significant experience drafting and negotiating ISDA Master Agreements, Schedules, Confirmations, credit agreements and other operative documents for derivative transactions, including swaps, credit derivatives, equity derivatives, commodities and project finance deals. On the corporate side, she has counseled public and private clients on a variety of issues, including debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions and securities law compliance.
Ms. Martes is fluent in Spanish, her native language. Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, she was an associate in the New York office of McKee Nelson LLP.
