Xiang-Dong (X.D.) Yang is a Managing Director focused on Asian buyout opportunities. He is based in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Yang spent nearly 10 years at Goldman Sachs, and was a Managing Director, Co-Head of private equity investments for Asia except Japan, and a member of Goldman’s Asia Operating Committee. Mr. Yang has led a number of prominent private equity deals in Asia, including Goldman’s investments in Kookmin Bank of Korea and the China Netcom Corporation.
Mr. Yang received his M.B.A. from the Harvard University Business School and his B.A. in economics from Harvard College.
Mr. Yang is on the Board of Directors of Greenland Investment Holdings Ltd and Taiwan Broadband Communications. |
