Wynne Morriss is XL Capital Assurance s (XLCA) head of origination. In this role, Mr. Morriss oversees the operations of XLCA s product groups commercial and consumer asset-backed securities, global infrastructure, power and utilities, specialized risk, structured investment products (CDOs), and US public finance. He is responsible for optimizing the collaboration among XLCA s business production units in order to provide XLCA s clients with the best service and execution. Mr. Morriss joined XCLA in 1999 as a member of the firm s founding leadership team, and previously led XLCA s Structured Single Risk group, which encompasses XLCA s public finance, global infrastructure, power & utilities, and specialized risk businesses. Prior to joining XLCA, Mr. Morriss served as associate general counsel at CapMAC Holdings, Inc. and subsequently at MBIA Insurance Corporation when it acquired CapMAC in 1998. Mr. Morriss practiced law for seven years with Sidley & Austin and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Mr. Morriss received a B.A. and an M.A. from the University of Chicago. He received a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Mr. Morriss is a member of XLCA s managing and credit committees, and a member of the executive committee of Security Capital Assurance Ltd, the parent company of XLCA. |
