Wolf Jürgen Röder was born October 7, 1947 in Wuppertal, Germany.
He studied law from 1966 to 1975 in Bochum and Tübingen, then trained as a lawyer and passed the second German state law examinations at the Stuttgart Regional Appeal Court. Between 1974 and 1976 he undertook further studies in political science, adult education and empirical cultural studies at the University of Tübingen.
Wolf Jürgen Röder has worked in various functions for IG Metall since 1976, mainly in the Baden-Württemberg region. He has been a member of the Executive Council of IG Metall since 1999, with responsibility for the union's educational work and policies.
He is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Robert Bosch GmbH, Stuttgart.
He has been a lay judge in the 2nd Senate of the German Federal Labor Court since 1988. |
