Joining Stax as director of analytics in 2007, Win advises corporate clients on sales forecasting, pricing strategy, CRM programs, location strategies, and marketing effectiveness. He is focused on initiatives requiring intensive modeling with major U.S. retailers and consumer products companies. As a precursor to this work, Win is often asked to assess client data systems to identify valuable data sources, gaps, and suggest methods for continuous gathering of necessary data. In select situations, Win helps clients determine the best way to conduct ongoing analytics and test new offerings or product, pricing, and marketing changes. Win brings to Stax more than 25 years experience in market analytics, including positions at Upromise Inc., where he was director of analytics and responsible for determining the effectiveness of member marketing and partner programs; VistaPrint USA, where he oversaw database marketing and analysis, including retention marketing, and undertook segmentation and lifetime value modeling, response modeling, and sales and margin forecasting; Staples, Inc., where he was director of marketing analysis and reporting for 10+ years and responsible for developing marketing mix models, market response models, and other analyses measuring the effectiveness of Staples marketing initiatives; and Bain and Co., Inc., where he was a senior IT consultant for six years, specializing in providing access to and strategic analysis of client data all this preceded by a successful academic career teaching economics and computer science at various institutions of higher learning, including TuftsUniversity and Harvard s Kennedy School of Government. Win has an MA and a PhD in Econometrics from Tufts University and did his undergraduate work at Brown University.
