William T. Matlack is a partner in the Litigation Department of our Boston office. His practice involves litigation of a broad range of commercial disputes with special emphasis on antitrust, banking, and litigation following large commercial losses. Prior to joining Sullivan & Worcester, Mr. Matlack was a Massachusetts Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Division, where he was involved in litigation against the tobacco industry and brought antitrust enforcement and consumer protection cases for the state. Mr. Matlack also reviewed proposed mergers for antitrust compliance, particularly in the banking and health care fields. Representative Client Work Counseled various clients on antitrust matters, including drafting the internal antitrust manual for a major computer manufacturer Represented industrial safety sensor manufacturer in antitrust litigation against competitor Represented regional banks in litigation involving claims arising from losses in indirect lending program, and failure of banking software to perform as represented Represented the largest records and information management services company in multiparty litigation following a large loss arson fire which destroyed one of its record storage warehouses.
