William R. Berkley has served as a director since December 1995. Mr. Berkley serves as Chairman of the Board of several other companies which he controls or founded. These include W.R. Berkley Corporation, a publicly held property and casualty insurance holding company; Associated Community Bancorp, Inc., a bank holding company which owns all of the issued and outstanding capital stock of The Greenwich Bank & Trust Company, a Connecticut chartered commercial bank, and Westport National Bank, a Federally chartered commercial bank; and Interlaken Capital, Inc., a private investment firm. Mr. Berkley has been a member of the Board of Directors of Strategic Distribution, Inc. since 1994 and has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Strategic Distribution, Inc. since March 2000. Mr. Berkley is active in civic and philanthropic affairs and currently serves as a director of Georgetown University, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Connecticut, Chairman of the Board of Overseers of the Stern School of Business of New York University, and Co-Chairman of the Albert B. Sabin Vaccine Institute, Inc. Mr. Berkley received a B.S. from New York University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. |
