A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Bill graduated from Jackson Preparatory School and entered the University of Mississippi where he received his Bachelor of Accountancy degree in 1981 and his Masters of Accountancy in 1982. While at Ole Miss, Bill was a member and officer of Sigma Chi fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi accounting honorary, Order of Omega Interfraternity honorary, and Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. Bill began his career in 1982 by working for an international public accounting firm in Jackson for five years and then another local accounting firm for four years. He joined the GranthamPoole predecessor firm in 1991 and became a partner in 1994. His areas of emphasis in practice include audit, accounting, and tax. Bill is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Past President of the Central Chapter of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants. An active member in his community, Bill is a board member and Past President of the National Kidney Foundation of Mississippi and was named Volunteer of the Year in 1999. He previously served as a board member and Treasurer of the Northeast Jackson Soccer Organization, as a board member and commissioner of girls’ softball at North Jackson Youth Baseball, and Treasurer of the First Presbyterian Day School Crusader Club. Bill is married to the former Stacie Smith of Greenwood, Mississippi. They have three children, William, Rachel, and Balie. The Crims are members of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, where Bill also serves as a Deacon. |
