William L. Kimsey has been a director of WD since March 2003. He is a veteran of 32 years' service with Ernst & Young a global independent auditing firm and became that firm's Global Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Kimsey launched his career at Arthur Young's Kansas City Missouri office in 1964. During his advancement in the firm that became Ernst & Young he served as director of management consulting in St. Louis office managing partner in Kansas City Vice Chairman and Southwest Region managing partner in Dallas Vice Chairman and West Region managing partner in Los Angeles Deputy Chairman and Chief Operating Officer and from 1998 to 2002 Chief Executive Officer and a global executive board member. Mr. Kimsey is also a director of Accenture Ltd. NAVTEQ Corporation and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
During Mr. Kimsey's tenure as CEO at Ernst & Young Global the firm realigned its structure strategy and performance measurement worldwide and grew to first or second ranking in seven of the top ten markets around the world. A Missouri native Mr. Kimsey is a graduate of the University of Missouri a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. |
