Bill Mundy heads the legal, compliance and security functions for Idearc and also serves as the company's corporate secretary. Prior to his current assignment, Mundy was vice president and general counsel for Verizon Information Services. Before that, he was vice president and general counsel for GTE Network Services. Mundy began his company career in 1979 as a senior attorney for General Telephone Company of the Southwest and served there from 1980 to 1984 as associate general counsel. After one year as labor counsel for Ralston Purina Co. in St. Louis, he returned to GTE in 1985 as vice president - general counsel and secretary for General Telephone Company of the Southwest. From 1989 to 1997, Mundy served in a number of senior legal positions for GTE's telephone operations.
He is a member of the Texas Utility Lawyers Association and the State Bar of Texas, where he is past chairman of the Public Utility Law Section. He is licensed to practice law in Texas and Indiana.
Mundy earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and a juris doctor degree from the Indiana University School of Law. |
