Mr. Mathias is the managing partner of Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP and concentrates his legal practice in the areas of business and corporate law and financial transactions. In addition to advising clients on the formation and financing of business entities, Mr. Mathias has been involved in a number of business merger and acquisition transactions. He has substantial experience in the public and private placement of debt and equity securities and has worked with a number of private investors and venture capital and investment banking firms. He represents both commercial lenders and borrowers in structuring and closing secured loan transactions and work-outs. Mr. Mathias has participated in a number of complex public - private sector financing transactions including the Buffalo Hyatt Regency and the HSBC Arena projects.
