William E. Halmkin is a tax and litigation partner in our Boston office. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Halmkin was a partner in the Private Client and Business Group at Peabody Arnold LLP. Mr. Halmkin specializes in state tax planning and has extensive experience representing clients before administrative courts, including state and federal tax appeals at all levels. With over 25 years of tax law experience, Mr. Halmkin is a former chief of the Massachusetts Estate Tax Bureau and Deputy Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. He is a former faculty member in the Graduate Tax Program at Boston University School of Law and member of the State Tax Committee of Associated Industries of Massachusetts (A.I.M.).
