William D. Griffin is Chief Financial Officer of InsWeb Corporation. In that role, he is responsible for the executive oversight of accounting, finance, investor relations and treasury. Before joining InsWeb in May 2001, Mr. Griffin was Executive Vice President and co-founder of ZipSend Inc., an Internet infrastructure company. From 1990 to 1998, he was Chief Financial Officer of Inference Corporation, a leading provider of self-service and knowledge management tools. Orchestrating private placements and launching the company's initial public offering, Mr. Griffin helped grow Inference from a small, privately held company to an international, publicly held organization. He began his career as a certified public accountant with Ernst & Young, where he developed the firm's Los Angeles-area software industry practice. Mr. Griffin earned a bachelor's degree in business economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1979. |
