PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
Mr. Scofield concentrates his practice primarily on intellectual property litigation, including plaintiff’s and defendant’s cases involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. He works closely with the firm’s biotechnology/chemistry and high technology practice groups in IP litigation and counseling. Mr. Scofield has represented both large and small clients in matters involving such diverse technologies as semiconductors, medical devices, high speed liquid chromatography, viscometers, biotechnology, and drug development screening.
Mr. Scofield was named a Massachusetts SuperLawyer in 2006 and 2007.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE
Mr. Scofield first joined the firm in 1984, and has been involved in general and intellectual property litigation, trademarks, copyrighs, licensing, and intellectual property counseling with the firm for more than 20 years,and he worked in conjunction with the founding partners of Lahive & Cockfield from its inception in 1981. |
