Wes Durham has 14 years experience in the grain handling and procurement business. He spent the first four years of his career with DeBruce Grain as a grain merchandiser trading rail corn out of the Midwest and wheat shipments to the Gulf for export. He also traded cross-country truck corn to local feedlots in southwest Kansas, Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. Mr. Durham then spent five years as a commodity procurement specialist with Cactus Feeders which, at that time, was the largest cattle feeding operation in the world. Mr. Durham is well educated with respect to the needs and operations of the cattle feeding industry having executed risk management strategies in the CBOT futures and cash markets on a 50 million bushel-per-year position. For the last five years, he worked as a cross-country broker and held sorghum export positions with Bailey Merchandising out of Fort Worth, Texas. |
