Wes William Lucas is a CEO with an established record of growth and productivity in several companies and industries. In his many senior management roles, Mr. Lucas has successfully achieved growth through increased market share, development of new products, expansion into new markets, growth by acquisition, and increasing value-added to the customer. From an operating perspective, Mr. Lucas has achieved significant productivity improvements through the introduction of contemporary productivity processes such as Six Sigma, quality improvement, supply chain optimization, the re-engineering of core processes, and increasing execution capability at the front line.
Mr. Lucas has a strong familiarity with the printing industry having most recently served as Chairman, President, and CEO of Sun Chemical Corporation (Parsippany, NJ) and Sun Chemical Group BV (Amsterdam, Netherlands), where he created and implemented a successful growth strategy, restructured operations and introduced productivity programs among other achievements.
Prior to Sun Chemical, Mr. Lucas held senior management positions with Allied Signal and Nova Chemicals Corporation. At Nova Chemicals, Mr. Lucas was the President of the Styrenics Division, a global leader in the plastics industry. At AlliedSignal, Mr. Lucas was a Vice President in AlliedSignal’s Engineered Materials Sector, focusing on growth, Asia, acquisitions, and new business development. Mr. Lucas also brings diverse entrepreneurial and consulting experience, as an entrepreneur starting up a software and internet business, and as a consultant working with McKinsey & Company in Sweden developing high value strategies and leading operational improvement projects in many different industries across Europe.
Mr. Lucas was educated at the Harvard Business School, where he earned an MBA in 1990, and at the University of California at Berkeley, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting in 1985. Mr. Lucas has been married for 17 years and has two daughters.
