Wendy E. Sharon joined Duff & Phelps, LLC in June 2001 as a managing director. Ms. Sharon has provided a wide range of valuation, strategic consulting and corporate finance services to publicly held and privately held companies for more than 20 years. She has advised clients on transactions including mergers and acquisitions, workouts, bankruptcy proceedings and leveraged buyouts. Ms. Sharon has provided advisory services to privately held company owners in connection with succession planning and estate and gift tax planning. She has performed purchase price allocations and valuations of intellectual property. Other projects have included valuations of complex securities including warrants, options, debt and equity securities. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, LLC, Ms. Sharon directed the valuation practice in the Investment Banking Group at Mesirow Financial. She was also a consultant at Coopers & Lybrand and managed acquisition evaluations at a leading consumer products company. She is a frequent speaker on valuation issues and shareholder value analysis.
Ms. Sharon has a B.S. degree from Miami University of Ohio and a Masters degree in Finance from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Ms. Sharon has provided expert testimony before courts and regulatory bodies in the states of Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin and Washington and in Federal Tax Court. Ms. Sharon is the Past President of the Chicago Finance Exchange and a member of the Business Valuation Association. |
