Wendell Blonigan joined Photon Dynamics as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer on December 11, 2006. Mr. Blonigan brings 22 years of executive expertise in Semiconductor and Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) equipment business operations. For the 15 years prior to joining Photon Dynamics, he held multiple management and executive positions at AKT, Inc., an Applied Materials company. Most recently, he held the position of President of AKT, Inc., where he was responsible for global operations of the LCD equipment business. Mr. Blonigan holds 36 issued U.S. patents in semiconductor and flat panel equipment design and processing and received his Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology from the Missouri Institute of Technology in 1984.
