Mr. Smith joined Bush O’Donnell & Co., Inc. in April 2000 where he is a Director and shareholder and serves as a Principal and President & Chief Executive Officer of Bush O’Donnell Capital Partners, LLC. Through the years, Mr. Smith has been involved in buying and selling businesses, structuring and financing leveraged buyouts, arranging capital for recapitalizations and growth financings and analyzing the financial issues and strategic alternatives available in financial restructurings. Mr. Smith has also testified as an expert witness in the areas of business valuation and lender liability. Mr. Smith is a native of St. Louis and holds a BS (1971) from University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri. Prior to joining Bush O’Donnell, Mr. Smith was a Director and Chief Financial Officer of Intrav, Inc (1997-1999), a high end international tour operator and cruise line; President of Windsor Capital (1989-1997), an originator of and investor in management led buyouts and leveraged acquisitions; President of Windsor Real Estate (1989-1997), a real estate management and investment company and President of Bekins Distribution Services (1993-1997), a logistics service provider to the retail, hotel and restaurant industries. Mr. Smith was also a commercial banker with Citicorp (1980-1989) and Mercantile Bank (1974-1980). Mr. Smith has served and currently serves on a variety of privately-owned company boards, a commercial bank board and a not-for-profit private school board. |
