Walter L. Revell became an independent Calpine director in September 2005, and is a member of the audit and compensation committees. He is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Revell Investments International, Inc., an investment, development and management company. Mr. Revell has served as Chief Executive Officer of two leading engineering and architectural firms, and has performed years of public service in Florida, where he served as Secretary of Transportation and as Vice Chairman of the Public Facilities Financing Commission. He also chaired the Florida Energy 2020 Study Commission, and both the Florida and Greater Miami Chambers of Commerce. Mr. Revell earned a bachelor of science degree from Florida State University. He also serves on the boards of The St. Joe Company, Rinker Group Limited, NCL Corporation Ltd., International Finance Bank and various closely held companies. |
