Virginia Ueberroth is the chairman of the Ueberroth Family Foundation, a charitable non-profit organization. She is a trustee for Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach Calif., and is also a trustee on the Hoag Hospital Foundation. She serves as a trustee for Harbor Day School in Corona del Mar, Calif.; is a co-chairman of the Advisory Council for the Orange County Community Foundation; and is on the advisory council for Sage Hill School in Newport Coast, Calif., and the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Center in New York City.
Ueberroth was born and raised in Long Beach, Calif. She graduated with an elementary school teaching degree from California State University, Northridge. After having four children, she was a money manager for several small companies. Today she serves as a community volunteer. Her latest accomplishment was the completion of a $50 million campaign for a Women's Pavilion at Hoag Hospital, which she was a co-chair.
Her past positions include serving as chairman of the Orange County Community Foundation, a position she held for three years; as a director for First American Trust Company, a subsidiary of The First American Corporation; and as president of PUG FARMS LLC, a grape, date and walnut farming company.
She and her husband, Peter, have four children and eight grandchildren. |
