Ms. Henlon is a partner in the firm's commercial real estate group. In addition to her expertise in traditional commercial real estate transactions, Ms Henlon brings a deep understanding of the issues facing developers and public entities in public/private transaction to her practice. Ms. Henlon has significant experience representing both public and private entities in real estate transactions. During Ms. Henlon's tenure as a San Francisco Deputy City Attorney, she represented the City and County of San Francisco in transactions to develop the historic Old Mint Building into a mixed use museum/retail/restaurant development, to convert a portion of the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard into a mixed-use residential development and to provide financing to developers of multi-family affordable housing projects. Prior to joining the San Francisco City Attorney's Office, Ms. Henlon was a real estate attorney at the law firms of Morrison & Foerster LLP and Steefel, Levitt & Weiss where she represented governmental agencies, developers, financial institutions and real estate owners and tenants in various real estate matters such as development, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and financing matters. Professional Activities Ms. Henlon is a member of the Real Property section of the California State Bar. She is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco and serves as a volunteer arbitrator for fee dispute matters. Ms Henlon serves as a volunteer mediator for East Bay Community Mediation and serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for Lenders for Community Development, a Community Development Financial Institution that invests money and technical assistance in low-income individuals and communities throughout the Bay Area. |
