Following 21 years at the University of Washington, Dean Roley was named in January 2005, Dean of the College of Business Administration, renamed in 2006 after alumnus Jay H. Shidler, founder and managing partner of The Shidler Group.
Manoa’s Shidler College of Business’ undergraduate program was ranked 19th in international business by the U.S. News & World Report. Of the public schools, Shidler College of Business is ranked 11th on the list.
Dean Vance Roley brings both the analytical skills of a very talented financial economist and a broad background in international business to the Board at Kamakura. Dean Roley plays key roles on the Company's compensation subcommittee and audit subcommittee of the Board of Directors.
At the University of Washington, Dean Roley was Acting Dean and the Hughes M. Blake Professor of Finance at the School of Business. Prior to joining the University of Washington, Dean Roley served as economist and Assistant Vice President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He also served a one-year term as senior economist on the President's Council of Economic Advisers during the Carter Administration with University of Hawaii President David McClain. Dean Roley received his masters and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University and his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley. |
