Vallerie Parrish-Porter is Chief Information Officer for Embarq Corporation, the largest independent local exchange carrier in the U.S. This new Fortune 500, NYSE-listed company has over $6 billion in revenues, 20,000 employees and operates in 18 states offering voice, data, high speed internet, wireless, and entertainment services to over 5 million customers. In her current position, Parrish-Porter leads the strategic and tactical deployment and operations of information technology (IT) development and infrastructure resources for EMBARQ. Prior to her appointment with EMBARQ, Parrish-Porter was vice president - Enterprise Services for Sprint, a position she assumed in October 2004. She also led the technology integration for Sprint in its recent merger with Nextel.
