Uwe Werner has been a member of the Supervisory Board of DaimlerChrysler AG since 2007.
Uwe Werner was born in Bremen in 1952. After completing his elementary and secondary education, he began a vocational apprenticeship to become a skilled tool maker, which he completed in 1971.
After obtaining further instruction for his entrance qualification for a technical college, he commenced a vocational training program as mechanical engineering technician and tooling foreman, which he completed successfully in 1977.
In 1980 he entered Daimler Benz AG as equipment engineer at the Bremen Plant. In 1984 he was elected to the Works Council. He has been active as Deputy Chairman of the Works Council since 1995 and was elected Chairman of the Works Council at the Bremen plant on October 1, 2007.
Uwe Werner has been member of the General Works Council since 1995. He has been active as honorary judge at the Regional Labour Court in Bremen for many years, and performs various union functions. |
