Urs Ramel brings to Metrika 20 years of product development and manufacturing experience in Product Design, Process Development and Optimization, Planning, Procurement and Engineering Management. Prior to Metrika, Mr. Ramel held three positions with First Medical, Inc. (a Division of Sigma Aldrich Corp.). As their Director of Process and Consumables Engineering, he assisted in the launch of the Alpha Dx cardiac markers panel and was instrumental in their production scale-up and cost reduction plan. Previously, he was the Director of Process Development and Engineering and a Senior Process Engineer.Mr. Ramel was co-founder of the Helvetica Group, a design and automation services business, founded with the intention of providing small to medium sized medical start-up companies with a one-stop shop for their early stage design and automation needs.Mr. Ramel also held positions with Actimed Laboratories, Inc., Meddis Diagnostic Products Inc., and Chemtrak, Inc. He holds four issued patents for medical devices. His education is in mechanical engineering. |
