Ty Schieber has over 18 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility involving the leading of people, developing of teams, and planning and execution of business strategy. He has significant experience in the development, procurement, integration, analysis, operation and maintenance of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems, with emphasis on operational, systems, and technical architecture.
He has served as Executive Vice President of OSEC’s (an Apogen subsidiary) Engineering, Integration, and Services Group. Prior to joining OSEC, Mr. Schieber had a successful 11-year military career. After graduating from the Naval Academy in 1987 with a B.S. in Political Science, he selected service with the United States Marine Corps. His first four years of active duty (1988-1992) were spent in a variety of operational fleet units, where he led and coordinated the operational, training, personnel readiness, logistical, and administrative, and motivational facets of numerous worldwide deployments of varying sizes for a wide array of exercise and real-world contingency scenarios, including deployment and action in the Southwest Asia theater of operations during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
From 1992-1994, Mr. Schieber was assigned to the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), where he completed two masters’ degrees (Master of Science in Systems Technology (Joint Command, Control, and Communications) and Master of Science in National Security Affairs (Scientific and Technical Intelligence)). Upon graduation from NPS he reported to Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA, where he served four years as Project Officer responsible for planning and executing all aspects of a major USMC C4I program and led the efforts of a diverse team of government contracting agencies, laboratories, and multiple defense contractors in the acquisition process, encompassing all aspects of systems engineering, software development, and lifecycle support. |
