Frank M. Tuerkheimer is a member of the Litigation Practice Group in the Madison office. Mr. Tuerkheimer is also a professor of law at the University of Wisconsin Law School. Mr. Tuerkheimer clerked for one year for the Honorable Edward Weinfeld, United States District Judge, for the Southern District of New York and spent one year in Swaziland as an Assistant to its Attorney General under a Ford Foundation grant. From 1965 to 1970, he was Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York where he was Chief of the Securities Fraud Unit. From 1973 to 1975, he was an Associate Special Prosecutor with the Watergate Special Prosecution Force. He served as United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin from 1977 to 1981. He was a U.S. Senate appointee to the National Commission on Judicial Discipline and Removal and has testified before Congressional committees on issues of current concern. He is a frequent consultant to USA Today on legal issues in the news.
