Mr. Nilson received his Bachelor of Science in accounting and Master of Science in business information systems from Utah State University in 1990 and 1992 respectively.
He began his carrier as an accountant in the Controller's Office at Utah State University (Logan Utah) in October 1990 where he was responsible for contract and grants funds for several departments on campus and tracked approximately $5 million in expenses on a monthly basis.
In 1993 Mr. Nilson joined Deloitte & Touche LLP as an in-charge accountant (Salt Lake City Utah). He prepared planned and supervised audits of Deloitte & Touche clients including Huntsman Specialty Chemical Corporation (Houston TX) WonDoor Corporation (SLC UT) Cassette Duplicators Incorporated (SLC UT) and others. At the Salt Lake City office of Deloitte & Touche Mr. Nilson gained an understanding of accounting concepts applied to real-life situations in all areas of accounting. He also formulated and executed all computer audits of the Salt Lake City clients. He gained knowledge of computer auditing tools used by a Big 4 firm. He also went through an extensive national training in accounting and computer applications.
In 1995 Mr. Nilson moved to the Intermountain Power Agency (Murray Utah) as a senior internal auditor where he prepared planned and performed audit work for IPA Quarterly Investment Reviews in excess of $1 billion and facilitated and participated in annual bond file reviews of over $5 billion.
In February 2001 Mr. Nilson became an audit partner at Chisholm Bierwolf & Nilson (Bountiful Utah). Since that time he has been involved in client relationships for audits and coordinated the audits of client's. He also obtained experience in SEC disclosure for all audit clients reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission meeting SEC reporting deadlines for reporting companies and experience in auditing of oil & gas technology and health care companies. Mr. Nilson is registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
Since December 2000 Mr. Nilson became an audit Manager with Crouch Bierwolf & Associates and managed the audit department for the entire firm. He prepared planned and performed audits for audit clients of the firm participated in management meetings and decisions and trained other audit staff members.
Mr. Nilson is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants. |
