Trecia Pessoa is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s New York office. Trecia is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Department where her practice focuses on structured finance transactions, including collateralized loan and bond obligations, derivatives and other structured products. Trecia also represents hedge funds in derivatives transactions and represents issuers and servicers in the financing of credit card and trade receivables, consumer loans, and equipment and operating leases.
Prior to joining McDermott, Trecia concentrated her practice in various areas of corporate law including Securities, Mergers and Acquisitions, joint venture, investment fund and trust preferred securities transactions, and rendered advice on Delaware limited liability companies and general and limited partnerships.
Trecia is a former adjunct professor of Legal Research and Writing at New York Law School.
Trecia earned her B.A. from Tufts University in 1996. In 1999, she received her J.D., from The George Washington University Law School where she was an editor on the Public Contract Law Journal.
Trecia is admitted to practice in Delaware, Florida and New York.
