Travis Biffar is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the firm's Orange County office. As a member of the Trial Department, Travis focuses on commercial litigation, with a strong emphasis on securities and corporate governance issues.
Travis has represented clients in a wide array of disputes, including class action lawsuits arising under the federal securities laws, shareholder derivative actions, proxy contests and contested mergers and acquisitions. He has co-authored a number of publications, including "Director Independence: Impartiality or Isolation?," Practising Law Institute's Corporate Compliance Institute 2004, and "Setting the Record Straight on the Significance of Social & Business Ties Among Directors," Practising Law Institute's Advanced Corporate Compliance Workshop 2004.
Travis is a member of the Federal Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in California.
