Tracy Rich is executive vice president and general counsel. He is the chief legal officer of The Phoenix Companies Inc. and its affiliates and is responsible for all legal matters company-wide including the corporate secretary corporate compliance corporate insurance and government relations.
Mr. Rich joined Phoenix in 2000 as senior vice president and general counsel and was named to his current position in 2002. Prior to joining Phoenix he was senior vice president and deputy general counsel at MassMutual and vice president and general counsel with Connecticut Mutual. He began his career as a trial attorney at the Office of the Chief Counsel with the Internal Revenue Service and then was an associate with the law office of Robinson and Cole.
He holds a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science from Union College a J.D. in Law from New York University School of Law and an L.L.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law.
He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Tax Club of Hartford. He is admitted to practice in New York Connecticut and Massachusetts. |
