Mr. Irwin joined Bridgepoint Education in September of 2006. He previously served as a Divisional Vice President of Finance for Career Education Corporation (CEC). While at CEC, Mr. Irwin held the positions of Chief Business Officer for American InterContinental University (AIU), Vice President of Finance for the University and College West Divisions, and served as an ex officio, non-voting participant of the AIU Governing Board of Trustees and its Finance sub-committee. He also served as an Interim Campus Director, participated in the successful integration of the Colorado Technical University (CTU) acquisition and was a member of the corporate Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC Compliance Review Committees. Mr. Irwin received his Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Business Administration and Accounting, and a minor in Computer Science, from Augustana College in Illinois. He earned the postgraduate degree of Master of Management in Finance, Marketing and International Business from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Mr. Irwin gained his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate in 1986. |
