Joined JCB in 1990 and has mostly been engaged in business development in Europe. After working in the company’s subsidiary in London for 3 years, in 1995 he was transferred to the Copenhagen Representative Office as Chief Representative. From 1997, he was assigned to Card Security Department in the company’s head office in Tokyo, and in 1999 he was transferred to IC Business Development group in the Electronic Commerce Department to manage several smartcard projects such as the multi-application IC card pilot led by the Ministry of Posts, and the Electronic Toll Collection trial on metropolitan expressway. Now, again based in London, he is responsible for research and analysis on electronic commerce and smartcard development, especially in the European market. He serves as member of SCSUG (Smart Card Security Users Group). He has Bachelor of Arts from Waseda University, Tokyo. Lives in Wimbledon near London, with his wife and one baby boy. |
