He joined the Shell Group in 1992 as Personnel Advisor, Commercial Markets and Product Management for Shell Nederland Verkoopmaatschappij. In 1996, Tony took up an assignment as Human Resources (HR) Consultant in South Africa, where he established the graduate recruitment programme and developed selection procedures. In 1998, he assumed the position of HR Manager, Eastern Caribbean, with a broader change management role for the Central American and Caribbean cluster. Three years later he moved to London where he worked as Talent Manager for Shell Gas & Power. In this role, Tony co-ordinated global resourcing processes for senior staff, managed external recruitment and represented his business in key Group-level HR projects. In 2003, he was appointed HR Manager for the Industry Line of Business within Shell Lubricants. Here he led organisational design work and implemented a structured talent review process for the business. Prior to joining Shell, Tony worked on projects in The Netherlands, the Caribbean, New York and Thailand. Tony has a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam and studied Organisational Development at the New School for Social Research in New York City. |
