Before co-founding Tesar-Reynes in 1982, Tony was responsible for opening the Chicago office of Judd-Falk, a New York-based search firm.
Prior to his career in recruiting, Tony worked in both advertising and marketing. He began his marketing career with Colgate-Palmolive. He then joined Ogilvy & Mather, New York, where he was an account executive on General Foods and Mercedes-Benz. In 1971, Tony joined DDB Needham, Chicago, working on the Warner Lambert, Campbell Soup and Household Finance accounts. In 1974, Tony joined Campbell-Mithun to supervise the United Brands business and work on new business.
Tony has been active in the community, including teaching high school equivalency courses in both the Navy and in New York City, as well as working for the Illinois North Shore Blood Program, Parents against Drugs and Alcohol, the Winnetka Caucus, the Winnetka Junior Sailing Program and the Wilmette Community Relations Commission.
He has written articles for publications such as Ad Age, Commerce and Recruitment Today and has been a guest speaker to grad students at Northwestern University, to the AMA, PRSA, IABC and to several college undergraduate programs. He is a regular speaker at Columbia College.
Tony has a BA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Marketing from Columbia University. |
