Mr. Castanares is of counsel to ST&G. He received his B.A., with honors, from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1966. He earned his M.A. at University of California at Davis in 1967 and received his J.D. from New York University in 1970. He was a member of the Phi Sigma Alpha Fraternity, Root-Tilden Scholar and a Member on the New York University Law Review from 1968 through 1970.
He is the author of Comment, "Rowland v. Christian," 44 New York University Law Review 426 (1968); "Foreclosures in Bankruptcy: Are they Fraudulent Conveyances?" 21 Idaho L. Rev. 517 (1985). He served as an Adjunct Professor of Law for Loyola University School of Law from 1976 to 1984.
