Mr. Thompson has been a director since April 2005. Mr. Thompson is a partner in the firm of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Washington, D.C.; is President of Logistics Health, Inc., a provider of medical readiness and homeland security solutions; and works for the consulting practice of Deloitte and Touche USA LLP. From 2001 to January 2005, Mr. Thompson served as secretary of U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. From 1987 to 2001, Mr. Thompson served as Governor of the State of Wisconsin. He also serves as a director for C.R. Bard, Inc., a designer, manufacturer, and distributor of medical, surgical, diagnostic, and patient care devices; Pure Bioscience, a manufacturer and marketer of technology-based bioscience products; and SpectraScience Inc., a designer and manufacturer of medical devices. |
